CERVI ROPING PAYS OVER $23,000 PER ROPER
(Tucson, Ariz. – Feb. 20, 2008) Trevor Brazile and Patrick Smith each taking home $17,320. The five-head progressive team roping, held in honor of the late roper Mike Cervi Jr. of Marana, Ariz,. is an annual get together of the sport’s super loopers. Admission proceeds benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.
Barrel racers began their second round today and the aggregate race began. Lindz Sears took the lead with a 35.02 combined time for two runs. The second round for timed events concludes Saturday, Feb. 23 with the top 12 in the aggregate in each event advancing to Sunday’s Finals.
