First Round Winners Collect Paychecks in Tie-down Roping, Team Roping and Steer Wrestling

(Tucson, Ariz.) – The first round for tie-down roping, team roping and steer wrestling wrapped up today at the Tucson Rodeo during slack competition.  Barrel racers will complete their first round Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. 

Second round runs for tie-down roping, team roping and steer wrestling will begin Tuesday following barrel racing and will be completed on Saturday, Feb. 27. Timed event contestants must complete two rounds, with the top 12 aggregate times in each event advancing to the finals on Sunday, Feb. 28.

The first round for bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding resumes Thursday, Feb. 25 and concludes Saturday, Feb. 27. The top 12 competitors in each event return Sunday, Feb. 28 for the finals.
