The following are unofficial results from the Tucson Rodeo, Feb. 18, 2008
The first round in steer wrestling, tie-down roping and team roping wrapped up today about 3:30 p.m. Barrel racers will complete their first round Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. Second round runs for steer wrestling, tie-down roping and team roping will begin Tuesday following barrel racing and will be completed on Saturday, Feb. 23.
Timed event contestants must complete two rounds, with the top 12 aggregate times in each event advancing to the Finals on Sunday, Feb. 24.
Bareback, Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding contestants compete in one round with the top 12 scores through Saturday, Feb. 23 advancing to the Finals on Sunday, Feb. 24.
World Champion Trevor Brazile Looking to Defend his 2007 Tucson Tie-Down Title
(Tucson, Ariz.) -- Barrel racers completed their first round this morning and steer wrestlers and ropers started round two. All timed events will complete round two on Saturday, Feb. 23. The 12 best aggregate times will advance to the Finals on Sunday, Feb. 24.
Trevor Brazile clocked a 9.6 today in tie-down roping placing him third in the aggregate with a 19.5 on two head. Fans are hoping his time will hold up in the top 12 so they can see him take the Tucson title for a second consecutive year. In 2007, Brazile won Tucson with a 30.6 second total on three head.
