Tucson Rodeo Fan Submits winning title for 2022 poster
"Back With a Vengeance"

For the first time in the history of La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, Tucson Rodeo rodeo fans were given the opportunity  to submit titles for the coveted Rodeo Poster for the 2022 rodeo. Fans were given one week to submit their best titles. Upon submission, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Poster Committee convened to pick the winning title: Back with a Vengeance"

The first commemorative poster was produced by the Tucson Rodeo Committee (TRC) in 1989. The poster was used as a marketing campaign to promote the rodeo and over time grew into a masterpiece of fine Western Art that could be purchased in the form of posters.

Each year, the rodeo selects an artist to carefully craft a masterpiece. The first featured artist was the well known pencil artist Bob (Shoofly) Shufelt. Shoofly went on to provide the committee with two other drawings to be used as posters. IN, 1997 the first full color poster was the work of D. Wyatt Taylor, another well known Western Artist and in 2022 the went to Rob MacIntosh.

The TRC looks forward to hosting this special event in Tucson, Arizona every February.
